620Di/RE Defeats Diaphragm Pumps In Paper Mill

A Canadian mill needed a pump that could control the feed rate of dye/color in the pulp stream for their pulp and paper mill.

The customer was concerned about using a diaphragm-metering pump because of the potential for crystallization of the product, the difficulty in cleaning the pump and the high pulsations from the pump.

The plant personnel were introduced to the Watson-Marlow 620Di peristaltic pump.

The ability of our pump to be easily cleaned, tremendous metering accuracy coupled with the low pulsating flow and abrasive-handling capability made the trial an instant success. The mill has now standardized on Watson-Marlow Bredel for this application.
