Watson-Marlow has sold thousands of pumpheads to the number one retailer of coffee by-the-cup in America for favor shot dispensing. Each machine uses nine 313D pumps to inject flavors, and a tenth to add sugar solution. Flavors include hazelnut, french vanilla, marshmallow, coconut, caramel, blueberry, chocolate, toasted almond, and cinnamon.

By adding the flavors to the regular coffee rather than brewing flavored coffee beans has saved this company a huge amount of time by increasing flexibility and efficiency, shortening the lines in the morning rush and pleasing their valued customers.

The 313D pumps were chosen over the main competition because of the ability to accurately and quickly dose concentrated flavors in volumes ranging from 1.6 ml to 32 ml. These flavors are dispensed into a size 12oz coffee cup, up to the 2 gallon take-away boxes.

The 313D pump also offers a long life before needing maintenance or cleaning, which when required, is as easy as replacing a tube.

In order to secure this contract weeks of testing were needed to prove the pump functionality and gain confidence, and the Watson-Marlow OEM team were with the customer every step of the way.
